Mexico Lindo = spanish for: beautyfull Mexico
The Riviera Maya was developed only for Tourism approx. 40 years ago. Before that there where only some small fisher villages like Playa del Carmen, which are full grown Cities now. To give tourists an inside on daily Mexican life, we have organized an excursion going out of the Mayan Riviera, showing the real Mayan life in the jungle and the life in an Mexican village without tourism, in the middle of the Yucatan jungle.
08:30 Uhr Departure in Playa del Carmen
After the pick up at your hotel, you’ll follow your Guide in a Wrangler Jeep (shared with max 3 other people) driving 25 miles of dirt road from Puerto Morelos to Leona Vicario, a typical Mexican town.
09:30 Departure into the jungle Dschungel
 In half way you will make a stop at a jungle camp, where the guide will give you information about the plants and how the Mayas still live and work in the jungle. Leaving the camp you'll drive another 20 km to thesmall mexican town Leona Vicario, in the middle of the Yucatan jungle.
11:00 Leona Vicario (small mexican town in the jungle)
 As soon as you arrive at Leona Vicario town, your guide will explain the history, and you will be ready to take a ride in a typical bike called “tricitaxis” (3 wheels bicycle for 2 passangers). They will take you to see how the local live, and you can see how they work with wood in a rudimentary form. After finishing the route the guide will give you a cold soda, while you enjoy typical Mayan dances from a group of kids from town.
13:30 Cenote Las Mojarras
When finished, you will continue back the dirt road to visit one of the most beautifull “Cenotes” in the area. The guide will explain how a natural cenote was formed and why the Mayas considered them sacred. After you swim for a wile, you must be very hungry, so some snacks will be waiting for you at the palapa.

Wir möchten uns für den tollen und informativen Ausflug Mexiko Lindo bedanken. Die vielen landestypischen Informationen und die spannenden Storys aus deinem Mexiko-Leben haben uns Mexiko viel näher gebracht, als es ein anderer Ausflug gekonnt hätte! Mach weiter so!!

Wer Mexico bereist, sollte unbedingt die Jeep-Tour Mexico-Lindo mit machen. Die Tour mit Ihren zahlreichen Informationen über Land, Leute, Kultur, Pflanzen und natürlich auch den Mayas ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis!
Wir sind immer noch total begeistert, wenn wir uns diesen Ausflug auf Video / Fotos ansehen.
Nochmals vielen Dank Volker, dass wir Mexico mit deiner Hilfe von so einer tollen Seite kennen lernen durften!

Mit Abststand der schönste Ausflug den wir in Mexiko gemacht haben. Wir haben auf diesem einen Ausflug von Volker mehr informationen über das Leben der Maya und der Mexikaner erfahren, als auf unserer 2 Wöchigen Rundreise durch Mexiko.
Der Ausflug war abenteuerlich und sehr informativ und die Cenote war einfach ein Traum. Vielen Dank noch mal dafür.
