If you are adventures, if you love the close contact to nature and want to see a piece of paradise, you have to go to Sian Ka’an. Frigate birds, egrets, Osprey, dolphins, manatees, car sharks, manta rays, sea turtles and barracudas, are only some of the animals you can observe in Sian Ka’an.

SIAN KAN’AN; was declared in 1986 Reserve of the Biosphere and it is the only natural site registered by Mexico like World-Wide patrimony, which is the habitat of 386 species of birds, which 219 are resident and the rest is migratory to Central and South America. Account with a territorial extension of more than 528 thousand acres, where also 856 species of flowers and 230 types of trees are registered.

07:00 Pick up at your hotel

After the pick up at your hotel you'll follow your guide in your Wrangler Jeep (shared with max 3 others), down the highway to Tulum, where you will have the first stop at a restaurant to use the toilets, drink a coffee or buy some snacks, before you go on the guide will explain everything about the activities of the day.

08:00 Uhr Departure to Sian Ka'an.n

Leaving Tulum you’ll drive through the hotel zone of Tulum to the biosphere of Sian Ka’an, then you’ll drive down a dirt road along the Caribbean sea to the small fisherman’s village of Punta Allen. The former Pirate town is located 130 miles south of Cancun and was named after the Allen, one of Edward Teach’s ships. Edward Teach, better known as the famous pirate Blackbeard, founded Punta Allen in the 18th century, when he was using Ascension bay behind Punta Allen, as a hideout from the British navy.

11:00 Arrival in Punta Allen

After your arrival in Punta Allen you have 30 minutes to use the bathroom, to eat some snacks and change into your bathing suit, before you enter the boat. The boat tour will take between 2 ½ and 3 hours.

11:30 Departure by boat

After getting in the small fisher boat for 6 people, you’ll start to an odyssey where you can observe Egrets, Frigate birds, Pelicans, Ospreys, Dolphins, Turtles, Manta Rays,  to name only some of the animals of the 400 wild animals living in Sian Ka’an. Driving through the mangroves you’ll get information about this simple but very effective eco system. Now it is time to go snorkelling.

13:00 Snorkelling at the reef

After arriving at the 2nd biggest reef of the world, where you will have the possibility to snorkel for 30 min. At the reef, you will be able to observe many colorful fishes, like Parrot Fish and Barracudas.

14:30 Restaurant

Returning to Punta Allen, a delicious meal will be waiting for you. End your day in paradise with a stroll at the beach, before you drive back to your hotel.
